Our children have come a long way in the past few years. I can remember sitting in the arena when they were little skating from one end of the rink to the other on wobbly legs. Our children now skate faster and can shoot harder. It's exciting to watch their skills improve during the season.
A bit taller, a little more “hockey” wise. They have all become more coordinated, more focused, and really playing well.
Hockey parents play a pivotal role in the hockey experience. We are the cheerleaders, chauffeurs, and role models for our children. Thank you for making this season a positive and nurturing environment for the kids.
Coaches are the backbone of our organization. They teach, guide and mentor our children. They are often unappreciated and definitely underpaid! On behalf of NDG Minor Hockey Association, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for all the time you spend on and off the ice.
Team Managers deal with administrative issues and the distribution of information to parents. They often organize team events, tournaments and have the difficult task of collecting money. I certainly have enjoyed working with each and every one of you. Thanks for making my job so pleasant and fun this season. I’m definitely going to miss our daily e-mails.
Players - What a great group of kids we had this season.I hope you all had fun, made some new friends, developed new skills and will continue to grow both on and off the ice. Remember to love the game above the prize. I look forward to seeing your smiling faces again.
I absolutely had a blast this season. Have a great spring and summer and I will see you all in September.
